UNK STEVE'S BAR-B-QUE didn't just happen, it all started over 70 years ago in Tulsa, Oklahoma on what was termed, "Deep Greenwood".  Wilbur Claybon Stephens AKA Unk Steve (1879-1963) is the man and the Grand father of Co-Owner, Tammara Olden who started it all.  The original Uncle Steve's was established in 1929 and continued to do business until 1955.  Wilbur was married to Zola Green (1900-1968) in 1929.  They had 8 children, 4 girls and 4 boys.  Their daughter, Jewel Stephens-McKinney continued to "Q" well  past the years of the closure on a "backyard" scale.  Her daughter, Tammara watched closely over the years, and although Tammara has been Q-ing since she was 17 years old, she had become more cognitive of the art of bar-b-que in the past 15 years.  Tammara and husband, David have been pulling the "War Wagon" for the past 5 years and have established the new, "UNK STEVE'S BAR-B-QUE".    They are not only committed to preserving the original recipe, but they are also committed to meeting those desires of our customers when it comes to "Ol' Skool Flava."  If you desire homemade over processed foods, then THE SMOKE STOPS HERE!
